Family Planning Clinic



This clinic provides medical and educational services to women of childbearing age, including physical examinations, pregnancy testing, information on correct contraceptive usage, informed consent, self-breast examination, and sexually transmitted diseases and infections. Charges are based on a sliding fee scale though contraceptives are free. Abstinence and birth control counseling are available. Confidential services may be requested.

 

 

 

Academic Abundance, Inc.

 

Academic Abundance, Inc. based in Wayne County, North Carolina has provided educational opportunities to disadvantaged children and their families throughout eastern North Carolina through programs such as Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Reading Nights and Literacy Program, Share, Care, Workforce Wear Clothing Drive, and Job Skills Seminars. The Academic Abundance Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program at Hobbton High School in Sampson County hosts parent nights, addresses concerns regarding peer pressure, and connects teens with other community resources. There are plans for the Academic Abundance teen pregnancy programs to be offered at local high schools in Sampson County for the upcoming school year.
